OECD Insights is a new series of books that uses OECD analysis and statistics to introduce and explain some of today’s most pressing social and economic issues to non-specialist readers.

The books use simple and straightforward language, making it easy to read, with no technical terminology included.  Examples are drawn from everyday scenarios on a worldwide basis, giving a concrete sense of the issues under discussion.

They feature statistical data drawn from OECD’s databases and include a number of special online features to enhance its potential for use in educational settings.

The first book, Human Capital: How what you know shapes your life, was released on 20 February 2007.
