The seminar was organised by the Italian LEED Partner – Cittadinanzattiva in cooperation with the Active Citizenship Foundation (FONDACA) and the Frascati Group for corporate social responsibility.
The event focused on the relationship between Citizens and enterprises in the framework of CSR strategies and more specifically on partnerships between Citizens’ organizations and Businesses in Europe.
The debates and discussions concentrated on the results of the European project “Citizens as CSR Partners” - co-financed by DG Employment and Social Affairs and carried out by Cittadinanzattiva / ACN and FONDACA.
The project consisted in the analysis of 50 partnerships established in 9 EU countries. During the seminar the final report of the project was presented with a special focus on the added value and impact of partnerships on CSR.
The participants of the seminar discussed and elaborated guidelines on partnerships building aiming at strengthening the participation of citizens’ organizations in corporate social responsibility policies, as well as companies’ commitment to establish long-term productive relationships with their communities.
