During his official visit to Israel, Secretary-General Angel Gurría met with:

  • Mr. Ehud Olmert, Prime Minister
  • Mrs. Tzipi LIVNI, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs
  • Mr. Eli YISHAI, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor
  • Mr. Ronnie BAR-ON, Minister of Finance
  • Mr. Gideon EZRA, Minister of Environment
  • Prof. Stanley FISCHER, Governor of the Bank of Israel
  • Mr. Daniel FRIEDMANN, Minister of Justice
  • Members of the Knesset
The main themes of the discussions were Israel as a candidate country for accession to the OECD, and the Israeli economic situation and challenges ahead.
 
Mr. Gurría delivered a keynote address at the 2007 Prime Minister's Conference for Export and International Co-operation on 01 November.
