Centre for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI) - Globalisation and Linguistic competencies

Various facets of globalisation -including migration, information and technology, trade and foreign direct investment- pose a number of challenges for learners and educational systems. Among others, developing linguistic competencies is a particularly important aspect that needs to be addressed. The objective of this project is to study the impact of linguistic diversity on education, and to see how education systems might respond to the challenges posed by globalisation.
